Yay! Sybil returned Home some 10 days ago...
After spending one year in a private High School in England, she is totally happy to be back Home.

She finished school last June, and spent the summer and beginning of Autumn in Scotland, to visit some family there.
AMael and I missed her a lot while she was away.
The first months she was away, she called almost everyday Mael; and sent me many detailed letters of what her studies and new environment was like.
It's not until recently that her letters got more and more spaced, and her phone calls rare.
I knew she was ok, and I just thought she was very busy learning things and enjoying her new friends maybe.
AMael was the shadow of himself, because she did not call him like she used to do; even though he has a special bond with her who allows him to 'feel' how Sybil was doing and how healthyb or happy she was.

It's only when she phoned us last week, telling us that she wanted to come back home; that AMael went into his library and stayed there for some research of some kind...
He hasn't seen Sybil yet...

So when I first saw her; with her new look, I was very surprised!!
She quite looks like her little rabbit I think!
But she looks so happy and she speaks all the time of what happened to her during the last months.

I think she doesn't want us to know she met someone, but it is obvious she looks like somebody who has a crush on a special person!

I wonder when AMael will get out of his library and what he will think of her new look! ^^"

I went back to Japan, but this time with Nyao/Beelzie, last Spring!
How he has been such a cutie and a moral helper there!!

We enjoyed every moment we had in this beautiful country I love so much... but more important was that we never take ourself seriously!

Many people took pics of us, and we took many stupid pictures too!
Who said dolls could'nt have fun?

Ok, so now i'll be complaining abit...T_T
and ask a stupid question!
what can you do with:
- impatience
- bad stuff (wrong acrylic, nail gloss, color chalks, watercolour pencils)
- a pipos baha head
- probable allergy to MSC
- being under treatment for your right eye
- D-5 to departure to a faraway land


1) you get more and more nervous
and do stupid things
2) mix up everything
and do more stupid things
3) feel sorry for the poor head
4) do more and more stupid stuff
5) and lose more and more time to pack the REAL stuff you'll need

so i had the very good idea of erasing the last face-up of my Baha
because i had received his new glass eyes
and wanted to give him some more "brownish" tones
and of course,
the result isn't NEAT
and does not please me at all.

i feel bad and awkward
because only my twins did got their dream face-ups on the first try.
i haven't yet the perfect one for my Sybil.
my floating head of mod Dreaming Moon is still untouched (and i love it like that)
and
my poor Beelzie is cruelly lacking a good one.

maybe i got too old and not so good at doing face-ups.
maybe i should have asked my friend Bakemono to do one for me.
(i feel bad about my shaking hands and impatience!)

i'm not god, i know it! ^^"
but...
where's my goddamn inspiration hiding those past few weeks??

ok, maybe it's because i'm stressed about my trip.
(too bad it takes times and crappy make-ups to realize it!)

anyway...
i just need to relax.
tomorrow will be a brighter day.
i know.

just a few words before i'll travel far away from my home for some months (to Japan) and Nyao will be my "partner in crime"^^ for this trip. for now I don't know much, except the fact that I'm going on this trip alone with him. the other kiddies are staying home with my mom (^^)
i've been variating between high and then low moods lately, quite a bit exhausting. i heard good and bad news too. and i'm somehow freaking out for the choices i made. but no regret! i just hope everything will be fine.

oh, and i finally received Nyao's new eyes. they looks so good! but not so good with his "pinkish" face-up.
so... if i'm feeling ok, within the next week (and our departure), i might try to give him a new face-up^^
and
my nights are full of foolish dreams, that in Japan, i may find my dream doll...
(and then on the following morning, i look at my savings, T_T, not too much, just the necessery needs, no big fortune!!)

2 days ago I finally gave a more basic faceup to Nyao ^__^
Ok, I admit it's far less adventurous than the first one (which kinda shook me actually!)
So, yes, this one's "basic", and though it does not show very well on the pics, tends to be more violet than pinkish tone.

At least, Nyao seems happy with it!
(though he knows it's not gonna be the last faceup he will ever get ^^")

I fell for a kanji tattoo on his body too, not uber original!
But I wanted to show on my kitty the mood that I am in: Happiness!
The kanji means "fuku", for happy/luck, because kitty means happiness! ^__^
(and I truly need some happiness overload right now!)

For the trivia:
"Beelzie" is the nickname given by my Sybil to him. I found this super-cute!
The little pinkish dots you can see on his ears and neck for a purpose: these marks are from the kitty clan he's descending!
I'll add stuff he told me later!

(too bad I ordered a pair of Brown 18mm the other day... T__T)

Arrived this morning, sunny day, that began with many smiles!! ^____^

so i dedicated this afternoon and took care of him...
as always, Mael is *pure* love, and i felt so happy again, like the very first day i laid my eyes on him...

So long I did not feel the waiting (through the heartspeed stages of ordering and shipping stages!).
I almost forgot what it was like to wait or a new beauty to come home! ^^"

And no news nor update... sorry.
There's a major reason: I'm in the middle of my budget planning for my travel to Japan, in less than 2 months.
I'm really excited but also afraid, because of so many things to plan (I'm not going there for shopping, but for hiking and photographic projects to set up for the non-profit association I founded.
So many things to do!!!

My dollies are sleeping more than usual, but I had to, other wise I would spend my savings fro Japan into too much goodies and provbably one or two new dolls! T_T

But now the departure is getting nearer, I feel like adopting a new companion...
Someone I can easily care after and who would be my travelmate for this new part of my life...
But more than anything, a newcomer that will take its place in my dollies family... like all the others, some resin heart that will be very special...
One of a kind.

I already have an idea, and I really begin to think more and more about it everyday that passes...
My budget is SOOoo tight,

Rain's pouring since last night, and I could finally go to the Post office this morning to grab the Luts box ^^
Yevon's here!!! Hourray! ^O^
I'm so happy (and relieved) he is at home now!
I so feared I would not bond with him but he is SO beautiful!
I'm amazed of hwo delicate and detailed this sculpt is!
Now I can't wait to get accessories like Soom eyes, and maybe a new wig, for him.

My camera is way too old now, to fully capture all of his details, but I'll do my best to get nice pics of him this week end.

Funny how things went again with CP "El"...
After Sybil got her cousin, Bakemono's Dorian, I  thought, dreaming in front of Luts website, that maybe one day, an El could join my dolls family... Last year I tried (when  I ordered one, needing a body for one of the twins...) but when I opened the Luts box, all I could see was Dorian unpainted face (just like I saw him when he first arrived at Bakemono's place, back while we were both living in Paris...)
I tried to "bond" with the El, but nothing worked. I only kept him 3 days, and finally sold it to one of my favorite doll's guru,Dark Angel, who  made him aone of most amazing and graceful El, I have seen since I began in the BJD hobby.

At the very beginning of last summer, I started again thinking about a Dreaming El head. So I entered a Group Order on our French Board, paid the person who mastered it, and waited... But the GO was so slow it was becoming stranger everyday. Then I received a pm saying that the Dreaming El head was "Out Of Stock" at Luts'... and that they did not know when the restock was going to happen, because of too many demands...
Well, you can call it destiny, dear!
Finally I asked the person in charge to ask Luts if it was possible to "switch" the El head to a Moon one.
And it did work! The GO package left a few days after that from South Korea...!!

Meanwhile I'm telling you this, is that, my future Moon is heading towards Corsica, and should arrive tomorrow morning, or at worst the day after tomorrow.
And now I'm getting very excited about it...!!

At first, when I made the switch, I wasn't sure to bond with the Moon model.
There was only one Moon I admired, it was Uka's beautiful Sacred.
From times to times, some BJD catch your breath away, somehow touched by mystic splendor and life emerging from their very resin skin... and look. Uka's Sacred is on the Pantheon of the 10 dolls that do that effect to me.
Her doll is, for me,  spellbounding upon reverse, really!
And I'm not saying this because we happen to be friends from a short time.

And talking about destiny and mystical things.... at the time I "switched" for the Moon, not really sure about my choice, Uka wrote me on DOA, saying she wanted to be friends with me ^^and talk about our dolls...!!
Destiny!! (and can you believe some people around me still ask me WHY I DO BELIEVE IN DESTINY??!!)

Now, the more days pass, the more my Moon-to-come will embody another form of the "YEVON" character I first thought of ("Yevon" was to be an El in my mind). I have details about him:
From the original Yevon character I had  in my mind, the Moon will keep the "Pagan" side and the fact that he will be one with Nature, but most of all will be a "Blue" character... child of the rivers and the sea.

As I spoke with Uka and tell her that maybe our boys could be somewhat "cousins", she totally agree and I found myself in a situation I have never been before: wanting to do a crossover from someone's else doll and one of mine! How strange!
Even if Bakemono plugged me in the hobby in 2004, I never felt as close as this to a doll and personality such like Uka and her Sacred... I don't know if I shouldn't consider myself a "loner" from now on ^^
I just think sometimes you have to wait for some sign and then something will pop-out from you personality, that you never imagine you would see by yourself!

Anyway... All these long & boring thoughts to say that I can't wait to see "Yevon" in my hands...
As promise, Uka, here is what I thought about Yevon, to make the same family as your Sacred...
Both are Nature's children, both totallty bound to live with her, both supporting a strange name divided in many...

As Sacred is officially "Sacred Orion Ni'Gedicht (S.o.n.g)"
Yevon will be "Laban Ievon Ghanima High Tides" (L.i.g.h.t)"
The Yevon name derivates from the Ievon hebrew first name, which is female actually, but as Yevon will be androgynous that'll be no problem I think!
Of course, you'll tell what you think of it ^^

Again, waiting is the key.

Some time ago, AMael could slip back into his body type I, and Ephrem got his new body type II (thanks to Kesha^^).
Boys are now complete again. I took a small photoshoot two weeks ago (unfortunately my camera does not render good pics any more... it's like with only 3megapixels, I'm stuck in the middle age of modern photography T_T" but still i have other priorities before buying a new one).
Anyway, the 2 first pictures are like *heaven* for me! (not that i find them beautiful, only because of the boys attitude...).

AND last but not least, *that* Ephrem's sneaky smile, while I was positioning AMael in front of me!!

Last week I took some cute pics of him, while he was dreaming at my mom's room window.
The ambiance was very soft and the sky reflected a deep blue atmosphere. It was 7pm.

Ephrem told me he now loves the seaside much, but still misses the desert sands sometimes...

My mom offered him a sandy colored turban, which he immediatly tried on to show us.

I found him adorable on this pics. Ephrem is *so* camera friendly!

about preconceived idea #6 and what happened in the end....

I thought for a long time that I was not capable of it. Silly consideration, ok.
Finally I decided myself to "pull the strings" and leave for restringing land...
It was easy, though you must be very careful not to pinch yourself too hard!

Of course, I used the wonderful Luts restringing guide on their website, it was a great help! ^^

¤ Before ¤
I disassembled my dear Ephrem, and I also clean his body with the magic sponge.
Dolls clothes really stained the resin sometimes, hopefully, nothing that cannot be erased!

It may looks quite strange, but restringing really helped me understand more how the doll body can react sometimes (such as the "crazy legs" syndrom *ha ha ^^"*)



I forgot to take a "right-after restringing" pic of Ephrem, but in the next post you'll see he is in *ONE* piece now ^^

A short summary of the preconceived ideas (that I thought would give an heart attack) about dolls during the last 3 years :
(you have the right to laugh ^^")

¤ preconceived idea #1 :
- owning ONE doll is ENOUGH
(ha ha ha.... phew! ^^" so naive!)

¤ preconceived idea #2 :
- manipulating dolls need chirurgical gloves
(believe it or not, I did it!)

¤ preconceived idea #3 :
- erasing the original make-up of one doll will lead you to anevrism
(or closer to it... I felt very awkward and guilty the first & only time I did it)

¤ preconceived idea #4 :
- you'll never be able to re-do a make-up on your own again
(which is totally untrue and make you understand many things if you are a little adventurous!)

¤ preconceived idea #5 :
- change eyes and remove heads are dangerous
(ok, i'm also laughing to that one... though once with a luts head i pinched myself very hard!...)

¤ preconceived idea #6 :
- re-stringing?? NO! NEVER! let that goddam elastics and s-hook! i don't want to see the inner part of my doll! and besides i won't be able to put everything back it its place!
(i feared a long time to re-string my dolls... even when one of my friend, dark angel, told me it was no-thing!!)

¤ preconceived idea #7 :
- stop thinking about re-stringing!!! no way!!
(and finally : went, saw and conquered... and it was SO easy!! ^^")
(also makes you understand better the work of genius that dolls are)

¤ preconceived idea #8 :
- dolls are dolls, if you don't bound with one, it's not so dramatic!
(actually it is not SO dramatic if you are not too sentimental or heart broken easily...)
(i am not! and take much time for the search of a new adopting family for the doll i can't bound with... this is what happened for my soony actually. and i hope i won't have to do it again, because there are too many feelings involved, even though it"s "only dolls we're talking about...)

¤ preconceived idea #9 :
- you can't fall in love with dolls!
(ouch!... let's skip to the next idea... haha ^^")

¤ preconceived idea #10 :
- dolls will be dolls, forever.
(dolls are not dolls... unless you want them to be. they are quite adaptable and ethereal sometimes.
dolls are only what we want dreams to look like. but they are works of art.)
